The Rhythm Hut is wrapping up another big year of live music, classes, workshops, and all good things creative, with an end of year Christmas party on Friday, December 8, from 6:30pm.
“In true Rhythm Hut style, we’ll be celebrating with a drum circle, headlined by, Juzzie Smith, with support from Melbourne band, This Way North and Dub Cymatics”, organiser, Lou Sawilejskij, said.
Juzzie Smith is a one-man band, based in Byron Bay.
Smith’s unique style is bluesy/folk mixed into a groove of its own.
Marked by an amazing ability to play up to six instruments at once, combining the guitar, harmonica and juggling percussion, Smith has had the honour of performing to both international and national crowds, sharing his raw warm vocals with a simple message of loving life.
With over 120 million views on social media and topping the blues iTunes charts around the world, Smith is an act you won’t want to miss.
This Way North first met in the north, Canada in fact; at the renowned British Columbian ArtsWells Festival.
Discovering that they both lived in north Melbourne, this Way North began as a means of finding direction again.
Dub Cymatics is fresh out of the Australasian melting pot, and built upon utilising the potential of midi-synced live looping.
Two independently touring, talented loop musicians, Erin (NZ), and Sid (NSW), mix acoustic and electronic instruments (guitar, clarinet, keys, trumpet and violin) with drum samples and beat boxing, to create fresh, upbeat, live dance music.
Home style cooked dinners and desserts are available for purchase.
The Rhythm Hut is fully licensed with assorted beers, wines and ciders.
Under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
