A Year 10 student from St Edwards College , East Gosford, has successfully completed the world’s most challenging paddleboard race.
Callum Sutton travelled to Hawaii in July to compete in the Molokai 2 Oahu Paddleboard World Championships, which kicked off on July 27. The event is from the Island of Molokai, through the Kaiwi Channel, to the Island of Oahu, which is 52 km. Sutton, either laying down or on his knees, completed the course in six hours and 32 minutes, achieving fifth place in the world for his division, Open Men’s Prone Stock 12 Foot Board, and 27th overall.
