Students to learn about dental hygiene and vision impairment

Narara Public School students will have opportunities to learn about dental hygiene and vision impairment as a result of visits to the school.
Kindergarten and Year 1 students at Narara Public School were to be visited by a dental nurse who would provide them with information about how to keep their teeth healthy.
The dental nurse visit was an educational session linked to the Physical Education and Health Syllabus.
Students were also to receive a show bag to take away with them.
Students in Year 3 to 6 will receive a visit from a blind or low-vision volunteer from Vision Australia on Friday, March 17.
The volunteer will present The Way I See It school program.
Vision Australia is a not-for-profit organisation that provides services to people who are blind or have low vision.
There is no cost for the presentations, but students are encouraged to make a gold coin donation.
