At around 3:30pm on Friday, April 7, Central Coast Rescue were called out to a property near Brush Creek Rd in the Yarramalong Valley, to assist police in the search for a missing person.
Officers attached to Tuggerah Lakes LAC were already on scene searching for the 80-yearold man. Crews were assisted by PolAir who quickly located the man in very thick bush near the property. Rescue and Bomb Disposal Unit were also called into assist the rescue operation, as crews had to stretcher the gentleman up a 400m embankment to the waiting ambulance. Suffering no injuries and only minor exposure, the patient was assessed by paramedics and transported to hospital as a precaution.
