Why not join Coast’s oldest Probus Club

Cutting the cake was Ros Turton (left) and Judy Edgington (right) and current president Elaine Burrows

Just over 18 years ago, Ros Turton and Judy Edgington were among the first women to be inducted into the then male-only Probus Club of West Gosford.

In February 2007, Ros, Judy and three other women were admitted as members.

At the club’s recent August monthly meeting, members gathered to celebrate the club’s 46th birthday with Ros, Judy and current president Elaine Burrows given the honour of cutting the cake.

The theme for the day was blue and yellow, colours of the Probus Club.

Anyone interested in joining the Central Coast’s oldest running Probus Club, a mixed gender club, can contact Carolin Frohmuller on 0409 305 618.
