Fashion Thrift Society heads for Terrigal

The Central Coast is about to host a unique global event that’s being hailed as the world’s largest fashion market.

Fashion Thrift Society (FTS) is bringing its touring extravaganza to the Breakers Terrigal Indoor Sports Stadium on Saturday, August 16, offering a unique blend of sustainable shopping and community-focused fun.

FTS, which travels to over 25 cities across Australia, New Zealand, and the UK, is the ultimate destination for those looking to refresh their wardrobe with pre-loved, vintage and independent fashion finds.

This is where mainstream trends meet the secondhand market, creating a vibrant hub of unique style that’s both eco-friendly and affordable.

The event will feature hundreds of carefully curated sellers, ranging from seasoned vintage collectors to emerging slow-fashion labels.

Attendees can expect to uncover one-of-a-kind pieces and discover cult brands and creative small businesses all under one roof.

But organisers say FTS is more than just a market, it’s a full-blown social experience.

The event’s legendary “installation bar” is a festival in itself, offering everything from tattoos, piercings, and tooth gems to nail manicures and permanent jewellery.

For those seeking a different kind of experience, there will be henna artists, aura and tarot readers, and custom photo booths to capture the moment.

The fun doesn’t stop there.

You can get a fresh haircut or blow wave at the hair stations, browse through vinyl at the record hub, and enjoy all-day DJ sets from emerging artists.

When you need a break, grab a bite from the food trucks or head to the 18+ pop-up bar for a refreshing drink.

This is a community event designed to celebrate creativity, culture, and sustainable fashion.

Whether you’re a vintage enthusiast or just curious about secondhand shopping, FTS promises a buzzing and inclusive atmosphere for everyone.

Doors open at 10am with $15 entry, with the entry price lowering to $10 from noon and $7 from 1pm.

Entry from 2pm is free.
