Thief from Orange nabbed at Wyong

General Duties Police from Wyong Police Station arrested a man from Orange who was reported breaking into cars at Wyong.

Police responded to Triple Zero reports on July 16 that the 30-year-old was breaking into cars parked behind businesses on the Pacific Hwy at Wyong and making threats of physical harm to people who approached him.

The man ran from the location, along the Pacific Hwy, with police in pursuit on foot before he was subsequently apprehended and arrested.

He was in possession of goods taken from the vehicles and the man had an outstanding arrest warrant.

Police took the man to Wyong Police Station where he was charged in relation to the outstanding warrant, as well as stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm, and larceny (two counts).

He was held in custody until his court appearance.
