Step into the shoes of Wyong locals from the 19th century by joining one of four Wyong Heritage Guided Walks being held throughout May.
The tours are being run by the Wyong Family History Group as part of an annual celebration of the National Trust Australian Heritage Festival to celebrate local history, community and the evolution of local businesses.
The walks showcase local buildings and highlight their longstanding historic significance and there are plenty of historic locations to visit nearby such as The Chapman Building, Alison Homestead Museum, Wyong Milk Factory, Central Coast Wetlands Pioneer Dairy, The Royal Hotel and Turton’s Corner.
There’s an array of photographs showing how the town looked in its earliest days and how it looks today and at only $5 it is a great way to discover how Wyong developed as a town.
Those who are unable to book a guided tour don’t have to miss out on learning the history of Wyong as free self-guided audio tours and virtual reality experiences are also available.
