Council looks for feedback on future of Gosford library

The existing Gosford Library building in Kibble Park

Central Coast Council is inviting the community to provide feedback on the future of the existing Gosford Library building in Kibble Park, Gosford.

With the completion and opening of the new Gosford Regional Library, situated in Donnison St across the road from the existing Gosford Library, in late July-early August, Council is now seeking to finalise the future of the existing library building.

During the adoption of the Kibble Park Place Plan at the September Council meeting in 2023, a resolution was adopted to demolish the existing Gosford library building to improve the safety and security in the park by increasing line of sight, while providing essential open space, which aligned with the sentiment Council received during other Gosford-based community consultations including Let’s Talk Gosford and Safer Cities: Her Way.

Council acknowledges that feedback has already been provided by some community members on the future of the existing Gosford Library building, however it is now seeking broader community input to assist in the final decision.
