Umina Campus students triumph at Royal Easter Show

One of the winning Berkshire boars.

Students and staff from the Umina Campus of Brisbane Water High School have brought home a string of top awards from the 2025 Royal Easter Show, showcasing excellence in livestock handling and animal care.

The school’s agriculture team achieved standout results in the Berkshire pig categories, including:

  • Champion Senior Berkshire Boar
  • Champion Junior Berkshire Boar
  • Reserve Champion Junior Berkshire Boar
  • Champion Berkshire Boar
  • Champion Junior Berkshire Sow
  • Third Place in a hotly contested class

In addition to the livestock success, several students were recognised individually for their outstanding efforts and presentation.

The school credited the achievement to the dedication of both students and staff who work year-round to prepare for the show.

“We’re incredibly proud of the commitment and care shown by everyone involved,” a school spokesperson said on social media. “These results are a credit to the hard work that happens every day in our ag program.”

Congratulations to all involved on a fantastic result for Umina Campus!
