Police established a crime scene on Albert Warner Dr near the railway station at Warnervale after a man was stabbed on Sunday afternoon, April 6.
Ambulance paramedics treated the man at the scene and stabilised his condition before he was transported to John Hunter Hospital for further treatment to a serious arm wound.
Police were called to the incident at about 2pm and cordoned off the crime scene.
The police investigation is continuing.
