Sound and light festival transforms Edogawa Gardens

Origami at the Japanese Gardens

After two consecutive sold-out years and a prestigious 2024 Business NSW Award for Outstanding 24-Hour Economy Collaboration – beating Luna Park’s After Dark program for its innovation -Origami Folding Art and Sound will return for another night of immersive music, art and light on Saturday, April 12.

Origami 2025, a boutique sound and light festival that fuses nature with technology, will transform Gosford Regional Gallery’s Edogawa Garden into a glowing dreamscape.

Expect hypnotic light projections, live electronic music, avant-garde fashion and site-specific performances, all unfolding in an enchanting Japanese-inspired setting.

Wander through the garden’s winding pathways and discover a variety of immersive experiences.

Dance inside the Mini Teahouse Disco, lose yourself in pulsating live beats at the Japanese Pavilion, or be captivated by mesmerising performances throughout the garden.

If you’re in the mood to unwind, find a quiet spot where you can connect with friends and soak up the atmosphere.

This year’s line-up features an eclectic mix of ground breaking artists.

DJ duo Stereogamous (Paul Mac & Jonny Seymour), known for their euphoric sets at Glastonbury and Burning Man, will ignite the dance floor.

VJ duo St Luc will transform the garden with dazzling 3D projection and light compositions, while Marcus Whale will bring his genre-fluid sound.

Electronic artist Putrika will weave soulful vocals with deep, ambient beats, and performance artist Justin Talplacido Shoulder will conjure surreal, shape-shifting personas.

Movement choreographer Fetu Taku will infuse the night with dynamic, high-energy dance, and the boundary-pushing Matt Format will deliver an avant-garde drag performance.

Festivalgoers are encouraged to embrace the garden party theme with creative attire—think floral accessories, paper couture, and nature-inspired looks.

A curated menu of handmade Sichuan dumplings and bao buns, crafted from locally sourced ingredients, will be available, along with a fully licensed pop-up bar.

Come early; doors open 5pm, kicking off with an Avant Guard costume parade.

Please bring festival seating to enjoy the experience comfortably.

Tickets are limited, and this festival sells out fast.

Note that this is a strictly no BYO event.
