A man faced court on Friday, March 21, charged over an alleged stabbing at Gorokan on March 20.
At about 6.30pm on Thursday, March 20, emergency services were called to Danbury Ave, Gorokan, following reports of a stabbing.
Police were told a man and woman allegedly entered the unit of a man known to them, before the occupant, a 53-year-old man, was stabbed several times.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man at the scene before he was taken to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition.
A crime scene was established, and officers attached to Tuggerah Lakes Police District, assisted by PolAir, commenced a search of the area.
Following inquiries, police attended a unit on Gorokan Dr, Lake Haven, where a 33-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were arrested and taken to Wyong Police Station.
The man was charged with special aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offences – inflict grievous bodily harm, and wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
He was refused bail to appear before Wyong Local Court on March 21.
The woman was released pending further inquiries.
