The Central Coast Mariners suffered heartbreak on Tuesday evening, November 26, losing to Japanese side Vissel Kobe by three goals to two in their AFC Champions League Elite match.
The Central Coast Mariners trailed by two goals just after halftime, but Bailey Brandtmann equalised in the 73rd minute, giving the Mariners hope as they pushed for the win.
Unfortunately for the Mariners, they conceded a late goal in the 81st minute with keeper Peric-Cullen spilling a shot from Sasaki from long range and the ball ending up in the back of the net.
The Central Coast Mariners remain in 11th position in the Asian Champions League elite with only one point from their opening five match days.
