On the lookout for budding baseballers

Central Coast baseball's home base

The Central Coast is home to six baseball clubs scattered from Gosford to Wyong.

Registrations are still open for new and returning players.

A variety of skills are incorporated in baseball including batting, catching, fielding, pitching plus short and long-distance running.

This sport accommodates to all strengths – short, tall, fast, slow as well as hearing or sight impairments.

It is a fair game in which every child gets equal playing time and equal turns to bat and field, which can be reassuring for a parent if their child is on the autism spectrum and always feels left out or not included in team sports.

All clubs are now taking registrations for boys and girls aged five to 15 years old and 15-plus in senior league.

Clubs include Gosford Indians, Gosford Pirates, Lions, Rebels, Woy Woy Wolves and the Wyong Wildcats.

Clubs are looking for new and returning juniors and seniors to start their Summer competition in mid-October.

Juniors train one night a week and play on Sunday mornings and all junior age games are held at the same field on the same day.
