The Australian Reptile Park has announced that its beloved dingo puppies, Bluey and Bandit, will officially be on display for the public to see starting from September 14.
Now 16 weeks old, the brother-and-sister duo have been thriving under the care of the park’s zookeepers and are ready to settle into their new home.
Since arriving at the park, Bluey and Bandit have captured the hearts of staff and visitors.
Over the past few weeks, they have met countless guests and adapted well to life in the sanctuary.
The puppies are now trained on a harness, which will allow visitors to see them on walks throughout the park during the day.
“It’s been a pleasure watching Bluey and Bandit grow and develop their personalities,” managing director Tim Faulkner said.
“They’ve been a hit with everyone who has had the chance to meet them, and we’re thrilled that now all of our visitors will get the opportunity to spend more time with these incredible animals.”
Visitors will be able to view Bluey and Bandit from 10am to 3pm everyday on display as they become acquainted with their new surroundings.
In addition, guests can witness the puppies during their daily walks, offering a chance to observe their playful behaviour up close.
Named after characters from the popular children’s TV show Bluey, the puppies are not only an adorable attraction but also play a crucial role in educating the public about the importance of dingoes in Australia’s ecosystem.
As apex predators, dingoes contribute to maintaining the balance of the ecosystem, and raising awareness about their conservation is an important mission of the park.
For visitors seeking a more personal experience, the Dingo Puppy Encounters are available for booking at 1pm daily.
These encounters offer a chance to meet the pups up close, take photos, and learn more about their care and training.
