If you own a cat, or plan to soon, you’re invited to free Coffee and Cat Chats workshops at Wyongah and Wyoming this month.
The initiative is part of Central Coast Council’s commitment to supporting responsible pet ownership and ensuring the wellbeing of cats on the Central Coast.
The workshops will provide valuable information on feline health, grooming and behaviour from qualified experts.
Attendees will gain cat health insights from a registered veterinary nurse, observe a live grooming demonstration and learn about general cat behaviour.
Additionally, participants will discover how to create enrichment toys for their feline friends and take home a free grooming kit.
Council’s Acting Director of Environment and Planning Matthew Corradin said Council is committed to creating a community where all pets are cared for responsibly.
“These workshops form part of this commitment and provide cat owners with the tools and knowledge they need to be excellent caregivers,” he said.
“Combined with registering, desexing and keeping cats contained within properties so as not to impact the environment, these workshops form the foundation of responsible cat ownership.”
The workshops will be held: on Saturday, August 24, 9.30am-noon at 159 Tuggerawong Rd; and on Saturday, August 31, from 9.30am-noon at 147 Maidens Brush Rd, Wyoming.

The workshops will present the same information that was provided at the Coffee and Cat Chats events held earlier this year.
