Ten projects in the Wyong electorate have secured $300,000 in funding through the NSW Government’s 2023 Community Building Partnership Program.
“The State Government funds will deliver much-needed improvements to local facilities including lighting and kitchen upgrades, refurbishment of decking, new exercise equipment, club infrastructure and a vehicle to assist volunteers,” Member for Wyong David Harris said.
“This is fantastic news for Wyong electorate.
“This grassroots funding will directly help create a more vibrant and inclusive local community with positive social, environmental and recreational outcomes.
“I congratulate all the organisations that were successful in their application and look forward to seeing how these projects make a real difference for community groups in the area.”
The successful projects were Warnervale Public School P&C Association, Central Coast Dragon Boat Club, Wyong Creek Literary Institute, Wyong Family History Group, The Trustee for the Salvation Army (NSW) Property Trust, Toukley Rugby League Football, Tuggerah Lake Reserve Land Manager, Volunteer Marine Rescue NSW, Wyong Men’s Shed, and the the Bikers Hand.
The Community Building Partnership program has funded more than 19,700 community projects since it commenced in 2009.
