Tech grant for Macs surf club

iPads will be used for training purposes.

MacMasters Beach Surf Lifesaving Club (SLSC) has received $5,000 from the Federal Government’s 2023/24 Volunteer Grants.

The funds will used to buy much-needed technology including iPads and other equipment to enable club members to undertake training courses.

Club spokesperson Alison McNeill said the iPads would prove invaluable.

“We are a club of 534 members, and this will support all our volunteers, particularly those on beach patrol,” she said.

Member for Robertson Gordon Reid said participation in training courses would be made simpler with the new technology equipment.

“Our surf lifesaving volunteers are dedicated and hardworking, and I thank them for all their efforts during our recent summer season,” he said.
