Police are investigating an incident at Kanwal on Wednesday, June 12, when a pedestrian was hit by a car.
Emergency services and Tuggerah Lakes Police were called to the Pacific Hwy at about 6.30pm and found an injured 45-year-old woman.
She was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition while the driver of the vehicle was taken to Wyong Hospital for mandatory testing.
