Changed traffic conditions at Wyong

A map of the affected area

Motorists are advised of changed overnight traffic conditions next week on the Pacific Hwy at Wyong, to carry out utility investigations along Panonia Rd, Howarth St and Rose St.

To minimise impact to motorists, work starting on Monday, July 1, will be carried out from 7pm to 5am and is expected to be complete in four nights, weather permitting.

Intermittent shoulder and lane closures will be in place for field survey work to help with planning for the upgrade of the Pacific Hwy through Wyong Town Centre.

Traffic control and a reduced speed limit will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.

Pacific Highway through Wyong is going from bad to worse.Peak hour is an absolute nightmare,a total log jam with vehicles almost being weaponized as desperate drivers try to avoid the excessive delays. The authorities to be need to prioritise urgent upgrades for this notorious and dangerous stretch of road so as that both local drivers and visitors can use this important corridor with some peace of mind and time reduction.

When new estates are being built all over the Central Coast and very little or no public transport traffic congestion can be expected.
