Green Point Terrigal Community Services wants to establish a community garden on part of the 7ha at the intersection of Terrigal Dr and Duffys Rd, Terrigal.
A sub-group Terrigal Community Garden will form its own incorporated association prior to operation of the community garden.
It is likely to be located in a cleared lawn area next to the Terrigal 50+ Leisure and Learning Centre.
The community garden will comprise raised garden beds, composting areas, a small garden shed and a small water tank.
Members of Terrigal Community Garden intend that the project will encourage developing relationships with other community groups including local pre-schools, who have already expressed interest in the proposal, and there will be occasional information sessions co-ordinated through the 50+ Centre.
