Gorokan man on murder charge

A Gorokan man is facing a murder charge in relation to a stabbing death in Sydney’s south-west in 2022.

Tuggerah Lakes Police and detectives from Strike Force Taralye went to a house in Minnamurra Rd, Gorokan, on Thursday, February 15, and arrested a 25-year-old man.

He was taken to Wyong Police Station where he was charged with murder.

The man was refused bail before his appearance in Wyong Local Court.

Just after 9pm on Saturday, November 19, 2022, a man presented to Campbelltown Hospital with a stab wound to his torso.

Despite the efforts of attending medical staff, the 25-year-old man died at the hospital.

Officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene at the hospital.

Detectives, with assistance from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, established Strike Force Taralye to investigate the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
