A man accidentally shot himself in the knee with a nail gun at Pretty Beach on Wednesday, January 17.
Firefighters were called in to assist Ambulance crews because of the very difficult access to the property from the road.
The Copacabana Pumper, Empire Bay Rural Fire Brigade and Gosford heavy rescue responded to the call.
Firefighters and paramedics used a stokes litter to safely transport the patient down very steep stairs and a steep driveway to an awaiting ambulance.
The injured man was then transported to hospital.
