A serving police officer has been charged following an investigation into alleged domestic violence-related offences.
On Tuesday, January 9, officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District received reports of a domestic violence-related incident and commenced an investigation.
Following inquiries, a 36-year-old senior constable who is attached to a command in the Northern Region was charged with common assault and destroy or damage property.
He was granted strict conditional bail to appear before Wyong Local Court.
The police officer’s employment status is under review.
