I am (concerned) with the neglect of Wisemans Ferry Rd.
I was travelling along it to visit Wisemans Ferry and have lunch at the famous pub, but.was appalled at the state of this road.
In some places it’s only one-way traffic with signals guiding the movement of traffic; the damaged part of the road is still barricaded off.
It ‘s my belief (that) since the storms this road has been totally out of action.
How do the residents cope with no access?
Considering how historic this part of our world is and the tourism involved, wouldn’t be nice for our wonderful State Labor Government to spend some decent money to fix and improve this road.
But seeing as they stripped us of our precious much needed $250 regional travel gift, don’t hold your breath.

Gaye, I agree the state of this road is appalling but I don’t think the current Labor Govt can solely be blamed. My wife and I travelled this road at least 4 years ago with many of the issues you raise already existing then. Even where passable the car was constantly shaken by the many ruts and potholes. We returned via Dural and Pennant Hills Rd and while not perfect the difference in road conditions was stark. I do not know why it has been neglected for so many years but I would certainly be both highly amused and deeply concerned with any reasons proffered.
