Wiseberry Peninsula has put out the call for non-perishable festive food items for its annual Christmas appeal.
Donations collected through the Christmas appeal will go towards supporting Mary Mac’s Place in Woy Woy during the holiday period.
Member for Robertson Gordon Reid is supporting the appeal again this year, saying this time of year can be difficult for many in the community.
“Christmas time can be a challenging period for some and there are many in the community who might not be able to enjoy a Christmas lunch or dinner with loved ones,” he said.
“By donating and supporting the Wiseberry Peninsula Christmas Appeal, you are ensuring that people who may otherwise go without this Christmas, receive a hamper full of festive food items.
“If you are able to donate, please make a donation to the Wiseberry Christmas Appeal by visiting the business.”
Wiseberry Peninsula Property Manager Tammy Jackett said the appeal was about supporting the community during Christmas.
“At Christmas time many people who are homeless, experiencing domestic violence, vulnerable children, and older people may need a little extra support to get them through the public holidays and holiday season,” she said.
“The Wiseberry Peninsula Christmas Appeal will do just that and assist Mary Mac’s Place during the Christmas and New Year period.
“This appeal is about spreading Christmas cheer and helping those in the community who need support this time of year.”
