Tuggerah Lakes Team Mo still taking donations

Tuggerah Lakes Police and administrative staff are still raising funds for the leading charity to change the face of men’s health – Movember.

In the early days of November some dodgy moustaches started to appear around the work place as part of the Movember campaign which raises awareness towards suicide prevention, mental health and in particular prostate and testicular cancer.

Team Mo captain, Senior Constable Jason Russell said they had already raised more than $4,000 and were still taking donations.

“It’s all about raising awareness of men’s health and we all know of a family member or close friend that has been affected by cancer in some way, including several of our work colleagues,” he said.

“This is a great way of getting involved and raising much-needed funds for a great cause.”

There was a fundraising luncheon at Wyong Police Station last Wednesday, November 29, and anyone who still wants to donate towards the Tuggerah Lakes Police District “Jack’s Mo-ing” team can do so at:
