The U15 Youth Championships have come to an end with the Central Coast female team chalking up three wins over seven games.
Lacey Burton and Holly Bayss were outstanding throughout the competition and Ella Davidson from Narara-Wyoming Cricket Club took a 5fa (five wickets) in the final round.
Round 1 saw Newcastle 2/142 defeat Central Coast 10/126 (Zara Hepplewhite 23 off 35).
In Round 2 Central Coast 10/127 defeated Lake Macquarie 10/64 (Lacey Louise Burton 28 off 22 and Olivier Wanner 2/7 off 2.
Round 3 saw another win, with Central Coast 6/119 defeating Hunter Valley 1/116 (Olivia Mitchell 1/10 off 3 and Holly Bayss 22* off 27).
In Round 4, Central Coast 10/40 went down to Riverina 3/142 (Lacey Louise Burton 1/6 off 3) and Round 5 saw another defeat with Western 1/77 defeating Central Coast 5/76 (Holly Bayss 23* off 18.
Greater Illawarra 6/78 defeated Central Coast 8/76 in Round 6 (Lacey Louise Burton 1/8 off 3) and Round 7 saw the locals’ third win of the championships when Central Coast 2/158 defeated North Coast 10/52 (Lacey Louise Burton 51* off 37 and Ella Davidson 5/7 off 3.
