Major works on Racecourse Rd

The works will include pipe relining and road resurfacing

Motorists might notice traffic disruptions along Racecourse Rd from October 11-14.

Central Coast Council Water and Sewer is working with Eire Constructions to improve water and sewer infrastructure in West Gosford.

Access to Racecourse Rd will continue to remain open as a restricted contraflow but street parking will be restricted between 6pm on Friday, October 13, and 5am on Saturday, October 14.

Council’s Director of Water and Sewer Jamie Loader said the project was part of the $42.5M Housing Acceleration Fund works supporting the revitalisation of Gosford.

“Eire Constructions will be undertaking pipe relining as well as the resurfacing of Racecourse Rd,” he said.

“It is important that local residents and businesses on Racecourse Rd note that no street parking will be available overnight from 6pm on Friday, October 13.

“Council crews, in conjunction with Eire Constructions, will take every possible step to minimise inconvenience and disruption to the community.

“This includes measures to minimise noise, dust and vibration during the course of the works.”

Council Administrator Rik Hart thanked the West Gosford community for their patience during these works.

“The program of works will help prepare Gosford to meet the needs of the community and visitors over the next 30 years,” he said.

“A key part of this is having access to reliable water and sewer services.”
