The Central Coast Industry Festival and Expo is set to make a return early next year, following the success of the inaugural festival in 2022.
Presented by Central Coast Industry Connect (CCIC), the festival will be held on March 6-7 supported by major sponsor, Investment NSW.
As a not-for-profit member-based organisation, Central Coast Industry Connect helps local manufacturers and industry to unlock growth opportunities through relationship-building and collaboration.
The Central Coast Industry Festival and Expo is a CCIC initiative designed to assist businesses to showcase their capabilities and products, establish valuable networks and find new customers and suppliers.
CCIC Executive Frank Sammut said the theme of the 2024 festival was Connect to Grow.
“In 2022, we were able to assist 50 of our region’s leading manufacturing and related businesses to connect and grow their networks, leading to exciting collaborations and new business opportunities,” he said.
“We look forward to delivering similar value for manufacturers on the Central Coast in 2024.”
Feedback from exhibitors at the 2022 event was that it exceeded expectations and delivered genuine benefits to the participating businesses.
Managing Director of Open Shutters, Gail Cottrill, said at the time; “It’s been fantastic to connect with the other industry partners that are here.
“There’s an amazing buzz; it’s been an exciting time for industry on the Central Coast.”
Herbie’s Spices had a positive experience at the 2022 festival and will return in 2024.
“Many people came by and said, ‘I know your brand; I’ve been using Herbie’s Spices for years – I had no idea you were on the Central Coast,” Managing Director Ian Hemphill said.
“The Expo was a valuable networking opportunity.”
For innovative local manufacturer SpotGo, the Expo attracted overseas interest with Managing Director Brendan Small receiving an enquiry about a potential export opportunity for his premium cleaning products from a visitor to his stand.
CCIC will be inviting local manufacturers, industry suppliers, visitors from Sydney and the Hunter, other regional industry associations and clusters and CCIC members to the event.
“Visitors to the festival will have the opportunity to hear from world-class manufacturers about their latest innovations and the new technologies they are adopting,” Sammut said.
“We will be showcasing innovative circular economy initiatives and holding a series of industry relevant guest speaker sessions.
“The event will feature many activities of great interest and value to both industry visitors and the wider Central Coast community.”
Central Coast manufacturers from all sectors and relevant suppliers, service organisations and government departments are invited to express their interest in exhibiting at the 2024 Central Coast Industry Festival and Expo which will be held at Mingara Recreation Club, Tumbi Umbi.
