A forum to address the rising rates of scams across media platforms, including the internet, phone, and mail, will be held on the Central Coast on Tuesday, October 24.
The forum has been organised by Member for Robertson Gordon Reid and will be attended by Assistant Treasurer and the Assistant Minister for Financial Services Stephen Jones.
“Scams are a rising problem in our community, and cost Australians over $3B every year,” Reid said.
“All Australians are targets but we know older Australians are losing the most.
“That is why I am organising the Robertson Anti-Scams Forum to educate people in our community on how to be vigilant and scams aware.
“Along with the Assistant Treasurer and Assistant Minister for Financial Services, Stephen Jones, we will discuss what the Federal Government is doing to help people identify and avoids scams.”
The Robertson Anti-Scams Forum will take place at Davistown RSL on Tuesday, October 24, from 10am until 11:30am.
