I applaud the stance of Nalini Padmanabhan (CCN 413), particularly the call for us to unite and work towards our common interest as Australians.
The best way to assist all the underprivileged and unfortunate in our society is to create wealth and distribute it fairly.
Technological constraints and their economic consequences ultimately trump politics every time.
We are losing our grip on reliable and affordable electricity and we will pay dearly for it in our economic competitiveness globally.
The clean, green political promise has led to higher costs and soon-to-be unreliable electricity (after Eraring).
Despite the hissy fit of the Yes devotees, I can say that highly educated people did vote No, including Nalini Padmanabhan and myself.
I suspect that some Yes voters, like Dave Horsfall (CCN 413), will think that Padmanabhan’s letter shows just how wrong the vote was.
They feel the same way about energy.
Fantasies about free energy only serve moral virtue signaling, not economic fact, nor equality within our society.
Moral posturing does not produce a reasonable standard of living, only a feel-good effect on the privileged.
I would also like to thank Nalini Padmanabhan for having the courage to express that point of view.
If I had expressed that point of view I would have been accused (by rabid Yes voters) of being a white racist.
Imagine how that would make me feel.

If only people cared enough to do this but I only see NO Kindness or Respect at all from people these days as they are too busy or just plain old Selfish and self absorbed.
