Rough terrain for rescue

An injured bushwalker was rescued at Somersby on Saturday afternoon, July 8.

Rural Fire Service crews from Kariong and Somersby worked alongside the Kariong Fire and Rescue team to rescue the walker who was injured on Pile Creek Loop Track at Somersby.

It took several hours for rescue teams to navigate the steep and rocky terrain to safely return the injured person to the car park and in the care of NSW Ambulance paramedics.
