A Gosford couple started their Valentine’s Day in a way they least expected after winning $1M in the February 13 Lotto draw.
The pair held one of the three division one winning entries and was bought online.
The couple was shocked when an official from The Lott confirmed their windfall on February 14.
“I’m shaking – we had absolutely no idea about this win,” the wife said.
“My husband rang me and told me someone from NSW Lotteries had phoned him this morning, and we weren’t sure why.
“This has boosted our Valentine’s Day, for sure.
“We weren’t planning on celebrating today, but definitely will be organising something for tonight.
“It’s time to upgrade my 25-year-old car.
“My husband has the nice car, but now it will be me.
“We will also finish paying off the family home.”
