On the way to a cashless society

I write regarding the letter “Disgusted by Bank Closures” (CCN379).

Two years ago Bankwest (owned by CBA) closed their Tuggerah branch.

Recently they closed their remaining Central Coast branch at Erina.

Now they have closed all their branches around Australia except Perth.

The number of businesses refusing to accept cash is increasing.

Once we become a cashless society, banks will be able to charge any fee they want per transaction.
