Tropical fun at Naughty Noodle

Rufino and the Coconuts

Time to get your loud tropical prints out and hit the dance floor for some live music and good when Rufino and the Coconuts play the Naughty Noodle Fun Haus on January 14.

Described as the world’s foremost proponents of voodoo rocksteady jungle-disco exotica-cabaret the band recalls Serge Gainsbourg’s tropical recordings, Grace Jones’ theatrical Caribbean groove and the primal stomp of The Birthday Party.

Rufino, crooner and violinist from acclaimed European Kabaret ensemble Mikelangelo and the Black Sea Gentlemen, will present his show Tropical Noir with a full eight-piece band.

“They say three times is a charm; this show has been COVID rescheduled twice,” Creative Director Glitta Supernova said.

“We are so happy to be able to provide the space to continue to support unique and original creatives through all the tough times during and post COVID.

“This show will definitely be worth the wait and I am already picking out what moomoo to wear.

“This is tropical cabaret with heart, soul, humour, and mind-bending artistic vision so book a table now and see you on the dancefloor.”

The dress code for the event is loud tropical prints.

The show will be held at 7pm on Saturday, January 14, at the Naughty Noodle Fun Haus, Ettalong.
