The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was sent to Copacabana by NSW Ambulance just after 9 pm on Christmas Eve when a man suffered serious lacerations after falling onto a glass vase at his home.
NSW Ambulance Paramedics and the Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team stabilised the patient.
The man, in his 70s, had suffered serious chest lacerations and was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in stable condition for further treatment.
