Business NSW has announced the finalists in the 2022 Central Coast Business Awards, after receiving almost 100 applications.
Business NSW Central Coast Regional Director, Paula Martin, said the awards recognise growth and entrepreneurship and celebrate business success and resilience.
“These awards are a wonderful opportunity to showcase the ingenuity, strength and resilience of Central Coast NSW businesses,” she said.
“It has been incredibly tough for businesses over the last few years but there is no doubt that businesses are getting on with it and achieving growth.
Martin said there were many entrants vie for their place in over 13 categories.
“A consistent theme of these excellent businesses was how they demonstrated resilience and innovation to grow their operation and keep their people in jobs.
Central Coast winners of each category will be announced at a black-tie gala event on October 7 at the Crowne Plaza with winners going on to represent the region at the State Business Awards to be held on the November 18.
“Based on the quality of this year’s finalists, I expect that our regional winners will again do very well at the State Business Awards,” she said.
Finalists in the Excellence in Large Business category are Daytoday Pty Ltd, Industree Group Pty Ltd, Nurses Now and The Art House.
In the Excellence in Small Business category, finalists are Fourtree Lawyers, Keleah’s Early Learning and Development, JC Entertainment and Events, LEP Digital, OMK Manufacturing, Photos2Archive, Refreshing Pools, Tumbi Tyres & More and Walker Bros Timber & Building Supplies.
Vying for the Excellence in Micro Business award are AAGilesberg, Cute AF Pets, Exhaust Notes Australia, Iris Lodge Alpacas, Stay Tooned, Key2 Realty, Quick Fix Solar & Electrical and The Foundry Cowork.
In the running for Outstanding Start Up are Central Coast Exercise, Local Digital Experts, Stay n’ Sip and The Grants Whisperer.
Making the finals in the Excellence in Innovation category are Health on the Streets and Industree Group Pty Ltd while Avoca Engineering, Chamberlain Australia and Iris Lodge Alpacas will compete for the Excellence in Sustainability award.
Kings of Neon is the only finalist in the Excellence in Export category.
Finalists for Employer of Choice are The Australian Reptile Park, Industree Group Pty Ltd, Nurses Now and Pacific Link Housing.
The Outstanding Community Organisation category will see Coast & Country Primary Care, Community Transport Central Coast, Iris Foundation Australia Limited, Naughty Noodle Fun Haus, Pacific Link Housing and Southlakes Incorporated vie for top honours.
The Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion category seers The Australian Reptile Park as the only finalist, while those in contention for Outstanding Employee are Jake Meney, Joel Smeaton, Matt Healey, Melinda McCrone, Michael Viglione and Natasha Valentine.
For Outstanding Young Business Leader, Beth O’Toole, Caitlin Vine, Jacob Denford, Rhiannon Walton, Samuel Lentini and Jodi-Lee Makeup Artistry are finalists.
The Outstanding Business Leader category sees Brendan Small, Carmen Perrin, Graeme Sheekey, Ian lynch, Kate Toon, Laura Prael, Tim Faulkner and Vicki Lennox compete for top honours.
The Central Coast business of the Year will be chosen from category winners.
