The Shirley Shuttle was the big winner when the Ladies of Canton Beach Bowling Club held a Winter Warmer Raffle to raise funds.
Club President, Margaret Dixon, said donations for the raffle were received from the members, The Sausage Man, Deb’s Café, Mulligan’s Barber, The Tone Bar and The Incense & Soap Lady, all of Toukley.
“These helped to make up 25 baskets of pantry goods, vouchers and warm accessories,” Dixon said.
Dixon presented the cash donation of $1000 to Barbara Galvin from The Shirley Shuttle.
Galvin gave a short talk on the role of The Shirley Shuttle, how it came about and the importance of the service to the community.
