New CEO for Take 3

New Take 3 for the Sea CEO Jacquie Riddell CCN339

Jacquie Riddell has been appointed CEO of Central Coast-based environmental organisation Take 3 for the Sea.

Take 3 Chairman, Peter Janssen, said Riddell has impressive experience and is highly regarded for her inspiring leadership, strategic planning skills, and creative initiatives.

“Take 3 will put (these) to good use as we move towards the next phase helping to combat the rapidly growing plastic crisis,” he said.

Jenny-Lee Scharnboeck has been holding the fort as Interim CEO since Sarah Beard’s departure in January.

Riddell said as a coastal resident and ocean lover, she sees first-hand the enormous and growing problem of plastic in the ocean.

“I feel compelled to offer my experience and skills to help address this global problem as CEO of Take 3,” she said.

“I look forward to building on the amazing work done so far to reduce the amount of plastic going into our oceans and ensure oceans are healthier now and for the future.”

Founded in 2009, Take 3 for the Sea is a highly-regarded charity dedicated to reducing the impacts of plastic litter.

It believes in simple solutions to big problems; Take 3 pieces of rubbish with you when you leave the beach, waterway or … anywhere, and you have made a difference.
