Narara Public School held its Hero Day fundraiser on June 19.
Held in memory of former student Amber Streeting, the annual event sees staff and students encouraged to dress up as their heroes for a day with gold coin donations from the festivities being donated to Neuroblastoma Australia.
Principal, Grant McFarland, said students were inspired by recent events, with many coming dressed as nurses, doctors and police officers.
“There were so many colourful outfits including lots of students dressing up as essential service workers.
“Students and staff looked amazing.
“In total we raised $575.
“Thank you to our wonderful community for supporting Hero Day,” McFarland said.
