In one of their last events as a College prior to the state wide transition towards distance education, St Edward’s Christian Brothers College celebrated Francophonie Week.
Held annually from March 17 to 25, Francophonie Week celebrates the French language and its diversity, with French the second most studied language in the world.
St Edward’s observed the festivity as French is the language course offered under their curriculum, with College staff preparing an array of activities for students to enjoy over the week, from French bingo to croissants at recess.
The festivities came to a peak on International Francophonie Day on March 20, with students and staff encouraged to add some French flair to their wardrobe for the school day.
