NSW Police have confirmed that a man drowned in the Brisbane Water.
At about 4pm on Sunday, March 9, witnesses told police that they saw a 46-year-old man enter Brisbane Water near Masons Pde, Gosford, to swim to a nearby yacht.
A short time later, the man was seen to be unresponsive in the water.
Emergency services arrived and retrieved the man from the water, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
