At about 6:30am on Sunday, March 1, Police attached to Tuggerah Lakes Highway Patrol were conducting high visibility patrols of Hamlyn Terrace, when a blue Ford falcon sedan was detected travelling well above the 50kph residential speed limit on Minnesota Rd.
Police locked the accused vehicles speed on radar at 115 km/h.
Police stopped the driver, issued him a $2,482 penalty notice for Class A motor vehicle exceed speed limit – Over 45kph.
His NSW licence was suspended immediately for six months and as it was his vehicle, the registration plates were confiscated for three months.
