Wyee Point local and St Brigid’s Catholic College, Lake Munmorah, student, Tee-Jay Russo, has broken the Junior Boys’ Jump record at the Australian and Asian Oceanic Barefoot Water Skiing World Championships.
Amazingly Russo has broken the record for the fourth time, meaning he broke his own previous record, setting a new Championship record personal best of 26.2m. Russo is now aiming to beat the World Junior Boys Jump record of 26.6m. “Tee-Jay has returned from the World Barefoot Championships as a World Champion in the Junior Boys’ Jump. “He also managed second place in Slalom, fourth place in Tricks, and second overall in the Junior Boys division. “The junior team he was a part of placed second overall. “Tee-Jay also represented Australia in the Open Men’s Jump and managed to come fourth in that division. “We are very proud of his achievements,” said St Brigid’s Principal, Julie Terry.
