I write in regard to an article on page 4 of Coast Community News, November 30, which referred to Friends of Gosford Pty Ltd.
Who are these people?
Old, retired, former, irrelevant pollies, trying to drag Gosford back to being the little village of their youth, that’s who.
As the Tax Office finishes and the St Hilliers building for the Department of Finance takes shape, this entry to Gosford is looking great, you can smell the optimism and change.
Even the Froggies demolition site looks good or better than it was six months ago.
Over many years, Gosford Council, with Malcolm Brooks and others in his gang, allowed Erina Fair to grow and grow and grow, each time sucking oxygen out of the Gosford CBD.
Now that they are gone, the change is happening and they should stay away.
Let the community enjoy the new developments, the new optimism, the new citizens, some oxygen and life.
Central Coast Council and Brian Bell could do more for the community by refurbishing the Council building, soon to be the ugliest building in Mann St, from a past, thankfully forgotten, era.
