Sports organisations receive grants

A number of sporting projects across the Central Coast have received over $50,000 in funding as part of the 2016/17 Local Sports Grant Program.
Among the recipients are the Central Coast Baseball Association who will the use the funding to upgrade two Dugouts and provide storage for the players on game day.
Gosford City Basketball and Sports Stadium will upgrade their audio system.
Saratoga Sailing Club will use the funds for their future regatta and upgrades to their website.
Terrigal Rugby club are to make improvements at the oval and to host a Foundation Course for both Coaches and Referees.
Terrigal Wamberal Little Athletics Club will use it for equipment upgrades to cater for increased numbers and storage facilities.
Member for Terrigal, Mr Adam Crouch, said the aim of the funding is to increase regular and on-going participation opportunities in sport and active recreation.
“Sport is a huge part of our way of life, especially on the Central Coast, and the NSW Government recognises how important it is to our communities, for both social and health reasons,” Mr Crouch said.
