Wyong’s Rochelle Davis is the latest Central Coast Cricket International, having been named in the Australian Country Female Merit side.
The side was announced following the completion of the Australian Country Championships, which were held in Canberra recently.
Despite having limited opportunities with the bat, Davis excelled behind the stumps taking five catches and effecting two stumpings over the course of the Championships to claim the Wicket Keeper of the Carnival award.
Davis was a member of the NSW Country side, which also included other Central Coast players Amy Cunningham, Grace Dignam and Sophie Shelley.
The team was defeated in the final by South Australia, with the a match decided by a Super Over after it ended in a tie.
Callum Rainger and Shaun Eaton were a part of the Men’s team which finished sixth at the Championships.
