Parliamentary secretary for the Central Coast, Mr Scot MacDonald MLC, opened the completed Grieve Cl connection, as part of the $170 million Central Coast Highway upgrade at West Gosford on the morning of Monday, August 10.
Member for Terrigal, Mr Adam Crouch MP also attended the opening. At the opening, Mr MacDonald said work is progressing well on the Central Coast Hwy intersection upgrade at West Gosford.
“The project has reached a major milestone, with the Grieve Cl connection opening to traffic,” Mr MacDonald said. “This major upgrade will improve traffic flow, travel times and safety for all road users while better catering for future traffic growth,” he said.
“Grieve Cl is an important link which provides an efficient and safe connection for motorists requiring access to Henry Kendall St, Corumbene Rd and the Jusfrute Dve industrial area from the Central Coast Hwy, Brisbane Water Dve and Manns Rd.”
Mr Crouch said: “Other components of the Central Coast Hwy upgrade are also progressing well including the installation of a major storm water drainage facility at Manns Rd and footpath paving and landscaping work at Brisbane Water Dve.
“Major work started in November 2013 and is expected to be completed early next year, weather permitting,” Mr MacDonald said.
